60608 Home Prices show a 9% Increase

The results of interactive data published by Crain's Chicago Business showed Single-Family Home prices up from a range of 2.8% to a high of 16.5%.  One of the Bridgeport zips: 60608 showed a 9.0% increase which is welcome news as we've seen a rise in the number of new home developments in the area.

Please note:  There will be a Community meeting with the Owners of the Chicago Helicopter Tours Company that is proposing a Heliport in the Bridgeport Community at the 2400 Block of South Halsted St. (Halsted/Chicago River)

Please join us to discuss the proposed planned development application for the property located at 2420 South Halsted Street.

The Applicant, Chicago Helicopter Express (CHE), would like to improve the subject property with a new heliport and water taxi dock.

In order to permit the proposed development, a zoning map amendment is required to change the existing zoning from Planned Manufacturing District (PMD) No. 11(A) to a Waterways-Heliport Planned Development.

The Applicant and its development team will be present to discuss the proposed heliport and to answer questions. Alderman Balcer will also be present at the meeting.
